This Is the Role San Francisco's Best Listing Managers Have Been Waiting For

We place a lot of people in real estate roles across the country. But every once in a while, we get a search that makes us sit up a little straighter, because the team is exceptional, the role is genuinely rare, and we know that the right person is out there, probably already doing great work somewhere, just ready for something more.
This is one of those searches.
Meet the Gregg Lynn Team
If you work in San Francisco real estate, you already know the name. If you don't, here's what you need to know:
The Gregg Lynn Team has been the gold standard for luxury residential real estate in San Francisco for two decades. Ranked #1 in the city by sales volume in 2025, they are part of the Sotheby's International Realty global network and have closed $3.1 billion in sales over their history, with $250M to $400M in annual sales. They are consistently ranked among the top 50 teams in the United States.
But what makes this team different isn't just the numbers. It's the way they operate. Market intelligence meets fine art sensibility. Clients include the founders of global technology companies and the CEOs of Fortune 100 firms. Every listing is treated as an extraordinary asset. Every client interaction is deliberate, considered, and held to an uncompromising standard.
This is not a team that settles. And they're not looking for someone who does either.
The Role: Listing Manager
They are looking for a Listing Manager to own a portfolio of 5 to 15 active listings at any stage — from preparation through close.
This is not a coordinator role. This is not "support." This is full ownership of the listing process: timelines, vendors, marketing collateral, client communication, and the quiet assurance that every property that goes to market reflects the team's standard. You are the person who makes sure nothing slips, because in this world, nothing can.
You'll be based out of their office in San Francisco's Telegraph Hill neighborhood, with regular field presence at properties, shoots, and key listing moments.
Base Salary: $120,000–$150,000 + bonus opportunities
Who Thrives Here
We've worked with enough top teams to know that this role isn't for everyone — and that's not a knock. It's just the truth.
The person who thrives here is someone who carries themselves with quiet polish. Who reads every room. Who notices what others walk past and handles it, because the details are never someone else's problem. Who finds genuine satisfaction in an operation that runs beautifully, not because they were told to, but because that's simply who they are.
If you have 3 or more years supporting top-producing agents or teams in luxury residential real estate, a polished professional presence, and an uncompromising eye for detail, we'd love to talk.
